The rise of GameFi
Looking back on the first half of 2021, GameFi is one of the undisputed breakthroughs. As a phenomenal game, Axie Infinity ignited the enthusiasm of the market and started a new era of GameFi. People are increasingly aware of the importance of gaming as a carrier, blockchain-based gaming enriched the decentralized finance, and has become the first step to the metauniverse. Gaming has also activated the functionality of NFT itself, and the trading system of games has been greatly enriched.
But at present, GameFi is still in the early stage of rapid development. In the next three years, the trend of NFT gaming will be the result of balancing gameplay and trading attributes and the blockchain-based gaming ecosystem will continue to improve. At the same time, more and more traditional games will realize the value of blockchain.
The second half of this year will be an outbreak period of GameFi.
Following the announcement released on 9/14/2021, Huobi is dedicated in supporting the GameFi ecosystem development via the newly launched GameFi Fund and Incubator, we look forward to the emergence of phenomenal high-quality games and the sustainable development of the blockchain-enabled gaming.
